The Cedar is a nonprofit that has run since 1989 out of the old Cedar Theater, a 1948 movie house in the Cedar-Riverside neighborhood.

Its bookings are the most global in the state: world, folk, roots and experimental music, plus its Global Roots Festival. Shows are all ages unless noted, and kids 4 and under get in free.
