The Minneapolis Armory was built in 1935 and is on the National Register of Historic Places. It reopened as an event venue in January 2018, in time for Super Bowl LII.
Prince shot the video for “1999” here in 1982. Today it hosts arena-scale tours, EDM nights and hip-hop shows; standing capacity runs roughly 3,000 to 8,400 depending on layout.
